Humber-Yorks 4x4 Response assist Peak and Dukeries Vehicle User Group with marshalling at BHS Trec event. BHS Trec is essentially orienteering on horseback and a bit more. The 7 crews assisted by manning points where the horses route joined or left vehicular rights of way by warning MPV users of the presence of the event.

16th - 22nd August Wessex Team member Terry Johnson has completed a trek from North to South Devon and return in just under seven days.
Terry set off from Ilfracombe last Saturday at 08:30 in the morning On Tuesday he reached Plymouth before starting his return trip, which was completed by him arriving back at the start in Ilfracombe at about 17:30 on Friday 22nd August.

Night of 23/24th August
Humber-Yorks 4x4 Response are set to assist East Yorkshire Raynet in marshalling and providing radio cover for Dove House Sponsored Midnight walk. The walk includes 2 crossings of the Humber Bridge, with 12 HY4x4 Response vehicles planned to be in attendance.
Our Powys colleagues will be active over the Friday and Saturday of September: 5th/6th, at Powis Wood Fair, Powis Castle raising funds for Air ambulance and the group.
Sunday 7th September 10am-5pm
Hullavington Airfield, Wiltshire. (M4 Junction 17) members of the various Wessex teams will be in attendance flying the flag and raising funds.
Midnight on Saturday 13th September 2008 will see members of Wessex providing support to a Midnight walk in aid of Weston Hospicecare - A Women only sponsored 5 mile beach walk from Uphill onto The Grand Pier and back (about 5 miles).
20th/21st September at Workhouse Heritage Weekend, Llanfyllin. Visitors will have the opportunity to have an off road safari with the Powys team. Raising more funds for Air Ambulance and group.
