Chief Constables Commendation.

Breckland Rover Rescue received a Chief Constables Commendation along with Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue and Norfolk Civil Protection Volunteers for their help in a search for a missing person. The award was collected by Controller, James Boston at a special ceremony on 18th November.



Emergency Funding

Earlier this week the Chairman attended a Civl Contingencies workshop at the invitation of the Civil Contingencies Secretariat. At this Seminar, George Cook of Community Resilience UK kindly agreed to provide a sum of money to 4x4 Response that can be drawn on by member teams, as a loan to enable immediate payment of expenses incurred pending reimbursement by user bodies.



New teams and New users

In the past week there has been contact from several potential new users, partly as a result of the seminar mentioned above. We have also had contact from a potential new team in Northamptonshire.



And Finally

Member teams are reminded that we have negotiated a very competeitive Insurance with Zurich insurance.
