News and events around the network this week (26/12/09)

Due to the Xmas week and the amount of calls this week there isn't a full report



However this small summary gives an idea of what teams have been up to.



In the South West; Devon and Cornwall, Hampshire & Berkshire, Gloucestershier & Worcestershire and Wessex 4x4 Response teams have been supporting South Western and Great Western Ambulance Services.



Further east the recently formed BHC4x4 response team has been doing sterling work in the village of Caddington ably supported by their colleagues in Bucks & Oxon, Hertfordhire and Yorks & Linc 4x4 Response teams



South East England 4x4 Response have been supporting their local Ambulance service South Coast Ambulance Service.



In the north east 4x4 Response North East has been providing transport to the out of hours doctyors services.



Over the last two weeks teams have been extremely busy as user bodies recognise the services that can be provided by teams. There is no doubt that the work that was done to ensure the professsionalism of teams is being recognised by our statutory colleagues in many services.
