This week has been relatively quiet around the country but 4X4RNE has been providing assistance to a local hospice helping to boost their funds by over £100,000
4x4 Resppnse North East supplied 10 units for marshalling duties on the 4th July for the 2nd St Oswald's Hospice at Gosforth.
Duties included......
Pre event organisation and briefing.
On route marshalling and monitoring.
Minor First Aid.
Communications.
Road Closures.
Post event evacuation.
1200 walkers raised an estimated £115,000 for the Hospice.
The other event; which of course we are all aware of; is the gradual rise in Pandemic Flu cases, over the past few2 weeks several teams have discussed their potential roles with local PCTs and LRFs.
