(Sun 14/12/08) 2 further members of Humber-Yorks 4x4 Response passed their Foundation Amateur Radio License and 4 members passed their Intermediate license.
South East group has received two generous donations, one from Bell Equine, a specialist Veterinary Clinic in
Maidstone and another from George Goring, owner of The Goring Hotel in London.
We are very grateful to Bell Equine and George Goring for these donations which will help with the set-up costs of the SE group.
4x4 Response Wales (aka Powys 4x4 Response) are organising a training and Assessment event to be held in the Llandovery Area over the weekend of 31st jan and 1st Feb.
Observers from other national Groups will be welcome to attend. For more info see http://www.4x4responsewales.org
Powys / Wales Group have also held a Defensive Driving Workshop given by a locally based Driver Training Agency with 20 attendees. Another is scheduled for January in Llandrindod Wells with 12 attendees already signed up.
A number of the attendees from the first workshop have already gone on to successfully complete On Road Defensive Driving Assessments and it is planned that at least 20 of these will have been completed by the end of January.
As this is the final weekly news before Xmas I (on behalf of the Trustees) would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
