Apologies for the delay in this week's news.
It has been fairly quiet around the teams this week, although as the winter weather starts to hit we can expect teams to be called to Standby.
At the moment I am only aware of one team on Standby " 4x4RNE Stanby from 18:00hrs 22/11/08
........For NDUC service due to forecasted inclement weather. (Snow/Freezing conditions"
The newly formed 4x4 Response Wales Group will be holding a recruitment and information meeting on Thursday 27th November at Royal British Legion The Lock House/Riverside Station Rd, Aberdulais, Neath, SA10 8ES.
Powys 4x4 Response held a Defensive Driving Workshop at the Powys North pub meet last week. The event was attended by 19 members and on-road driving assessments will be organised for the attendees over the next six weeks. It is intended to repeat the workshop at the Llandrindod Wells meeting on 7th Jan for the Powys Central Group.
Wessex 4x4 Response hopes to conclude negotiations with Dorset Police this coming week and to have an SLA in place by 01/12/08 -- more details will follow after that time.
Last weekend 5 members of Wessex 4x4 Response took part in a joint exercise with Devon & Cornwall Police and Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team
