Welcome aboard Jules......great to see you have joined us......
To the left, site navigation panel>Group Register....should provide you with contact info for the groups in your area.....

It's probably best to go for the one who hold their meetings in the most convenient place for you, you can if you wish be deployed by any other "local" teams as needs be, so it's not a huge problem.

Someone with a better idea of your area, may be along with alternate suggestions shortly if they are not all out there hard at it...

Nigel.

I dont seem to be able to post in other parts of the forum
but as of now I have done 2 nights in birmingham at west mids ambalance HQ
but it seems that apart from runing staff in and out I haven't done much more yet I see on other groups have been doing lots more
now I have just got off the phone with Mark Downing who tells me that this is because we have not got agreements with any agency's in regard to a payment towards running costs.
the call from warickshire ambalance if from the pct and that fuel will not be coverd so it would be all at your own cost.
now i'm not in this to make money and 40p per mile wont cover running my V8 round town
but I would prefer to do work for groups in my own area if possible and not drive 45miles to sit around all night and only move 6 people in 12hours.
so if anyone has jobs that need doing and you can keep me moving then let me know.

If you have been deployed by any team Jules, then you should be a member of a team (any team) and your rep, controller, or otherwise should have notified the admin here and had your status upgraded to responder which will provide additional acceess to other forum areas.

I'll not post on other aspects of your post in this area Jules as although I may have some experience in the area this open area is not the place to post it, maybe Tony or Bob or Simon could help the team out as regards MOU's and reimbursement.

Julian

Can we take this off-line please - PM (either forum), email, or phone if you prefer

You haven't spoken to me about any of this, and I'm a little concerned that you're posting your concerns on several public forums before following more private channels fully.

Thanks
