This week has seen several eventful moments.
The National organisation 4x4 Response now, formally exists as an umbrella organisation to aid and support the local teams. As part of that support we are negotiating discount with several suppliers.
As this article is being written Breckland LRC Rover Rescue is assisting at the Cancer Research 10k Run at Sandringham (the Queen's Norfolk residence) over the weekend of 27th/28th Sept. A minimum of 4 vehicles will set out the course on Saturday and provide marshalling/assistance/recovery on Sunday as well as helping with comms.
They have helped at this event for several years and last year had to carry a casualty in a fairly critical state of collapse off the course on a stretcher in the back of a 101FC ambulance.
Since Thursday Wessex and Gloucester 4x4 Response teams have been providing support to Exercise Equinox, which involves a simulated aircrash on the fictional village of Chilmark without. Members of Wessex helped set out the site on Thursday. Friday some 16 members of both teams were in attendance mainly providing support to the exercise staff by transporting individuals and food/water to participants.
On items for next weeks news should be PMed to me before Friday
