Several teams have been wondering whether the recent wet weather would result in any call-outs or standbys.
At 16:15 today a call was received asking for 4x4 teams to be available to provide support to the out of hours Dr service in Worcestershire due to flooding. Gloucester as the nearest team immediately went to standby.
Eleven members of the Wessex team are available to cover Gloucester in the event of their members travelling to Worcestershire. Other members of Wessex would then cover the depleted areas.
Herefordshire controllers have also been advised.
All teams are likely to remain on standby until Monday when the situation will be reviewed.
