Hi, my name's Pete, and as the subject says I live right in the middle of three counties, just south of Rugby. I'm very keen to be of assistance within a response team, and I have ten years experience of accident and emergency work form being an Emergency Medical Technician with Beds and Herts Ambulance Service. Unfortunately I left them eight years ago, and all my qualifications have lapsed. Currently, I'm unemployed and so probably not in a suitable position to be able to afford to volunteer my services, but I'm confident that things will change soon. I own a Land Rover Discovery Td5 auto that's fairly standard.
In my spare time (of which there is plenty at the moment,) I'm a very keen sax player and play with Johnny and the Zephyrs, a rock 'n' roll band, here in the Midlands) and an amature military historian, specialising in the battle of Arnhem
Nice to meet you all.
Pete

Thanks for the welcome Alasdair, I will have to choose which group to join first so I'll be doing some checking out and reading the many posts on here. I also noticed that Warwickshire isn't covered? Great forum by the way.

Hi Simon, thanks for the welcome. I've decided to join the NRT as I'm slightly closer to Northants General than I am to Leicester but I presume I can be of help to either team, how would that work?
Cheers Pete.

All groups operate a fairly well developed system of mutual aid.
There is a separate "Team Controllers" forum where contact and call out numbers are stored for use by controllers who need to mobilise another group or groups. You are then likely to be alerted by your normal call out system, just sent somewhere new!
